Melatrol claims to have an exclusive formula capable of the power of prescription drugs, but without all the side effects.
First of all, the formula is far from exclusive. It is full of good ingredients, but the majority of these ingredients can be found in most sleeping pills.
Melatrol Ingredients:
Melatrol includes the following ingredients: melatonin, valerian, GABA, 5-HTP, and Relora.
Melatonin is the most proven and effective of the bunch. That’s why it is found in nearly every sleeping pill.
Valerian is also effective for most people, but it is not as proven as melatonin. It also works through a different pathway than melatonin which increases your chances at actually falling asleep.
GABA is more of a relaxant than a sleep aid.
5-HTP is eventually converted into melatonin so even though it is effective, it is kind of redundant to include it along with melatonin when they accomplish the same thing through the exact same pathway.
Relora is the one unique ingredient in Melatrol. It is “a blend of magnolia officinalis and phellodenron amurense.” It is more of a relaxant than a sedative.
In summary, this blend of ingredients is solid, but it is definitely not exclusive to Melatrol.
Melatrol Customer Reviews:
“I’ve always had difficulty falling asleep (the dreaded “snowball” effect) and trouble staying asleep. I thought about trying the prescription sleep aides like Ambien and Lunesta, but have heard unpleasant stories from friends and colleagues (sleepwalking and memory loss were the most common side effects they talked about). Anyway, I started taking this at night, and have never slept so well in my life!”- Anonymous
“As a college student, I spend many late nights studying, only to get up early for classes the next day. This has a really negative effect on my sleeping patterns. Upon trying Melatrol I have found that I can now enjoy a regular sleep schedule when I want to, especially after exam time when I’m used to being up all night and have trouble falling asleep again”- Anonymous
“Doesn’t work. At all. If I could give it NO STARS, I would.” – Gretchen
Melatrol Side Effects:
Since Melatrol is full of natural/herbal ingredients the risk of side effects is minimal. You may experience stomach aches, headaches, and next-day grogginess. These should be mild, but if you can’t handle them then just stop taking Melatrol.
Overall Value:
One bottle of Melatrol costs $29.95. When you purchase Melatrol you actually sign up for a monthly payment/delivery plan. You can cancel whenever you want, but it can be a bit of hassle. The cost is fair for what you get out of Melatrol. It should help you fall asleep and hopefully it has the power to keep you asleep. It is not the best over-the-counter sleeping pill available, but it’s pretty good. To learn about the best check out our top rated products.
